Environmental Testing Hudson Valley

ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING

Your safety is our priority.

Private wells, sedimentary rock, and private septic systems are common in the Hudson Valley region. Testing for water-quality, radon, and septic failure is important and vital for health and safety.

WATER QUALITY TESTING

Standalone testing unavailable at this time. Water testing available only with inspections or other services.

Why should I test my water?

Private wells are common in the Hudson Valley. When you don't have municipal water, the quality of your water is your responsibility. Water quality can be affected by the environment, failure in wells and septic systems, Superfund sites, and more.

RADON TESTING

Standalone testing available. Schedule an appointment or include with your inspection.

What's Radon Gas?

Radon is a carcinogenic gas that comes from the decomposition of rock and soil. Most likely attributed to the high concentration of sedimentary rock in the Hudson Valley and the Catskill Mountains, our area is in the EPA's Zone 1. This means we average higher than 4.0 pCi/L (the action level for mitigation). Radon is leading-cause of non-smoking lung cancer and can only be detected through proper testing.

SEPTIC DYE TESTING

Standalone testing unavailable at this time. Septic dye testing available only with inspections.

What's a septic dye test?

Septic dye testing is a non-invasive way to test the integrity of the septic system. We flush the system by running the water from a potable source for 30+ minutes before introducing a fluorescent dye to the system. We check the field for signs of dye which could indicate septic failure. This test is often required by lenders and the HUD. Check with your underwriter.
