Sal Marano is the principal inspector and president of Mountain Valley Inspections (a fully licensed and insured inspection company that provides a full range of home and insurance inspection services in the Hudson Valley and Catskill regions of New York). 

Before becoming an NYS licensed inspector, Mr. Marano worked in the building industry for over two decades as a carpenter. He has worked on a plethora of different projects including many historical houses in the Hudson Valley.

In addition, Sal also majored in Environmental Science and worked with the Department of Environmental Protection (NYDEP). Sal worked with Ulster County's watershed team mapping and surveying New York City's Watershed using GIS technology.

It was a natural transition into residential/commercial and insurance inspections for Sal. 

Sal combined his expertise and experience in the construction industry with his analytic and scientific approach to become a successful home inspector. Sal is fully licensed by the State of New York and obtained multiple certifications through AHIT and InterNACHI. In addition, he continues to expand his education in the inspection field to provide the best service possible.
